Set up in 2011 by Ellis, Ellis Clark Trains specialises in buying and selling all scales of model railway, from Z gauge all the way up to 7 1/4 gauge and including N gauge and 00 gauge.
But how did it all start? Ellis's interest in model trains grew throughout childhood as his father (Andrew of Andrew Clark Models) took him to the National Railway Museum in York. Soon, Ellis and dad were visiting the museum on almost a monthly basis, with railway exhibitions in between!
In October of 2011, when Ellis was working in a coffee shop, Andrew called his son and suggested that if he ever wanted to set up a business of his own, he could take up some space in his office. You can imagine the shock on his face when Ellis handed in his notice that very same day!
By December 2011 Ellis was running Ellis Clark Trains as a successful full time business. Since then his love for model trains has continued, and Ellis travels up and down the country buying all eras and scales of model railway, diecast and tinplate, and attending many railway exhibitions and toy fairs.

Ellis Clark Trains was established by Ellis at the beginning of 2012, and since then the business has continued to grow and thrive. Ellis can be found wearing shorts and short sleeved shirts in the middle of winter, and can be heard at exhibitions from the other side of the hall!
Since joining the company in October 2017, Hannah spends most of her days running around the office from one job to another. She can often be found making our O gauge boxes, helping out with parcels, organising the showroom, or, her favourite job, plastic-sealing un-boxed products for sale at exhibitions!

Holly is in charge of post and packaging at ECT and takes great pride in the service we provide. Holly joined the team in July of 2018, after moving up North. Since becoming part of the team, Holly has brought our “late dispatch rate” of parcels to below 1% and holds the World Record for “Tidiest & Most Organised Workspace”!
Amey is our latest addition to the team, joining in October 2018 and taking over control of our eBay shop alongside providing the dulcet tones you usually hear when you call our landline number! Since coming on board Amey’s passion for streamlined efficiency has meant that we usually add 100+ individual new items to the eBay store every week, alongside having all queries answered within 24 hours and almost always on the same day.
Neil joined us in September, but you may already know him as he has been weathering models for us on a freelance basis for over two years. Now, working in-house full-time, Neil can be found in the middle of our test track, tinkering, servicing and of course, weathering! Neil has been into model railways for over 30 years now, and when not modelling O gauge, can be found at Keighley Model Railway Club working on his EM gauge layout, Cowgill, depicting the transition period of steam to diesel.
Bradie joined the Ellis Clark Trains family back in May 2018 - time flies! Bradie has since learnt a wealth of information and plays a key role in Clark Railworks (which launched in April 2020), alongside being in charge of the artwork for many of our upcoming projects! Like us all, Bradie is dog-obsessed and when not fussing Albert, has two pups of her own at home, Bailey and Herbie!
Albert is our most important employee. In charge of security, alarm systems and clearing up crumbs. Yes, Albert is the office pup and can often be found hovering the office, tearing up cardboard or stealing socks. He’s also our best salesman - just try and resist that face!
