From an unknown kit a very nice example of an ex North British J88. Emerging from Cowlairs Works in 1904 No.9836 was a very long lived locomotive, shunting around the Edinburgh area for some 56 years. With a crew and light weathering, plus dumb buffers, this outside-cylindered engine is a rather quaint throw-back to the Edwardian period.
