BR's Standard Class 7 locomotives, the 'Britannia' class, entered service in the early 1950s taking up their main-line duties in most areas of England. Generally regarded as a success their careers were cut short by the demise of steam and dieselisation. The model here of the doyen of the class, 'Britannia', is a superb representation of the class from the DJH Custom No.1 shop. The model, built to the highest standards available from DJH is largely of brass construction with extra detail. A truly exceptional model of the type.
