Constructed to a very high standard from a brass kit of unknown origin this is a lovely example of Ivatt's excellent 2-6-2 Tank. Designed before Nationalisation but mostly entering service after it, the Ivatt tanks were useful performers on local and suburban services with a number, including '41278' fitted with push-pull equipment. The model here, in addition to the extra detail listed below, has been moderately weathered to reflect its usual day to day appearance.
