Finescale O Gauge (Kit-Built) Merchant Navy Class 4-6-2 No. 35028 'Clan Line' As Preserved

Notify me when this product is available:

Oliver Bulleid's express locomotives entered service on the Southern Region during the Second World War and distinguished themselves for over two decades hauling boat trains to the South Coast. They were particularly associated with the 'Bournemouth Belle' and 'Golden Arrow', for which they became the motive power of choice.

This model, built to a high standard from a brass kit, depicts no. 35028 'Clan Line', possibly the most famous and well-kept of the class in preservation. Built at Eastleigh Works in 1948 lasting in BR service until the end of Southern steam in 1967, hauling the last steam London Waterloo - Bournemouth service. Today 'Clan Line' can be seen hauling various mainline specials in-particularly The Belmond British Pullman, for which it always looks the part and sports 'Golden Arrow' name boards.
