Introduced as a last gasp measure to save rural branch lines through lowering costs and improving operating procedures, the small 4-wheel railbuses were generally not a success and their target market was disappearing along with the branch lines they were intended to work. This Heljan model No.88911 of the AC-manufactured Railbus is in excellent near-mint condition and is an excellent representation of these delightful vehicles.
