New in the final month of 1948 A1 Class pacific 'Boswell' was one of 23 similar locos constructed at Darlington Works. From there it made the short journey to York shed and remained a York loco throughout its working life. It had the distinction of being one of the first A1's to receive BR blue livery and managed to survive in to 1965, much longer than many of its sisters. It is presented here in Scale Seven format, built we believe from a DJH kit.
