A superb example of a kit-built GWR Pannier Tank in BR Black with early crest. Sub-contracted by the GWR to the manufacturing giants Armstrong Whitworth No.7796 was new in 1931 and enjoyed a 30 year career, working firstly from Oxley Shed, and latterly Pontypool Road in South Wales. The model here has been constructed to a very high standard and is a superb runner. It is lightly weathered representing its usual day-to-day condition in the early 1950's.
