Professionally weathered in-house by Neil Armitage this is a lovely example of Ivatt's much admired 2-6-0 tender loco. No.46417 was one of 128 similar locos constructed, appearing from Crewe Works in the year before Nationalisation. All of its working life was spent in the North West of England including a 10 year spell at Bury. The model here is DC, a good runner, and presented in the usual condition these locos were to be found, especially towards the end of their working lives.
