The ubiquitous and workmanlike 08 shunters were arguably BR's most successful design; over 1000 were produced, and they reached all parts of the country. Many exist today, with some backdated to 'heritage' liveries. This BR green example represents the type as seen during the 1960s and displays the excellent slow-speed performance for which these models are renowned. It is Dapol's item no. 7D-008-000D and features factory-fitted DCC sound.

Condition Description |
The model is in excellent condition overall. Two of the cab glazing panels have come loose and are supplied separately in the box. A metal hook coupling has been fitted to the front of the loco, with a loop at the rear. There are small glue marks to the bufferbeam where these have been fixed in place. The loco does not appear to have working lights. There is no paperwork for the factory-fitted sound file. |
