Finescale O Gauge Kit-built exL&YR Class 8 'Dreadnought' No. 10439 (1919 Specification)

Notify me when this product is available:

Originally built in 1908 with Joy valve gear, this model represents the class in its 1920/21 rebuild format with outside walschaerts valve gear. Still retaining 4 cylinders, this rebuild of the class proved to be the second most powerful locomotive in Britain at the time. Built for the L&YR's heaviest of express passenger trains, No. 10439 was part of the batch built between 1922-23 and was withdrawn from service in 1935. The last of the class was withdrawn in 1951, with unfortunately non being preserved.

This model has been beautifully presented in LMS maroon and is in wonderful condition.
