BR's Class 45 diesels (or 'Sulzer Type 4s' in pre-TOPS days) remain one of the largest and heaviest types to have operated on British metals, which makes 7mm models of the class particularly impressive. This Skytrex example is constructed primarily from resin and is in mint condition. Though positioned at the 'no-frills' end of the O gauge market, it nonetheless captures the shape and character of the prototype well and displays excellent running qualities. It depicts split headcode no. 45018, an engine that served BR for 20 years from 1960.
