Help & Support
Introduced from 1928, the successful German DRG Class 64 was the standard tank engine of the Deutsche Reichsbahn. More than 500 were produced, and thanks to a long service life many survive in preservation. They were fondly referred to as 'Bubikopf' after the bobbed ladies hairstyles fashionable in the late 1920s. Displaying the robust construction (a mixture of die-cast and plastic), high levels of detail and supremely smooth mechanism for which Lenz is renowned, this model is presented in near mint condition and captures perfectly the sturdy, workmanlike nature of the prototype.

The model is in overall excellent condition, but some of the detail parts (including ladders, Westinghouse pump, etc.) have become detached – these are supplied in the box. The lamp cover for the top lamp on the rear is missing, and one of the bottom rear lamps is not working. As the original packaging is incomplete, the model will be supplied in one of our foam-lined loco boxes. |
