OO Gauge Projects
This beautiful 'King' has been professionally constructed from a Malcom Mitchell kit by the man himself. Finished to the builder's 'A Shop' standards (with excellent backhead detail), expert decoration courtesy of Alan Brackenborough completes the picture for what is a very special O Gauge engine.
No. 6015 emerged from Swindon in 1928 and spent the next 34 years storming the Western Region's principal routes on top-link expresses. An Old Oak Common engine during the 1940s, the loco had migrated north to Wolverhampton (Stafford Road) by the time of its withdrawal in 1962.

Condition Description |
The model is in excellent condition overall, with a few very small marks to the top of the boiler and some minor dust marks the crevices of the running plate and inside the tender. |

Very Good Runner |
Test Results |
The engine is believed to have been seldom run buy the previous owner and demonstrates some tightness and hesitation at low speed. While we have lubricated the moving parts, the model may benefit from further running in. |
