Help & Support
For those with the appropriate means, departing from London Kings Cross in the late autumn of 1935 could only mean one thing, The Silver Jubilee. Returning to the north at 5.30pm this crack express was the most important train at that time on the LNER system. Achieving levels of comfort and opulence not seen before on Britain's railways this, along with the new A4 locomotives to haul it, was about the pinnacle of Sir Nigel Gresley's tenure as CME of the LNER. The L.H.Loveless model of the seven coach set perfectly captures the refinement of the original with superbly soldered brass construction, stunning lighted interiors and sprung axle boxes. The intricate external chrome effect banding and superb paint finish provide for an overall stunning appearance.
