The LNER's Class J39 engines were capable mixed traffic workhorses and could be found throughout the Eastern Region. No. 64888 spent much of her pre-BR life on former Great Eastern Metals but had migrated north to Carlisle by 1947. This imposing model is from the dependable Sancheng stable and features brass construction together with professional weathering courtesy of Tower Models. The tender is of the LNER 4200 gallon variant and has been fitted with extra details including buckets and fire irons.
