Newsletter No. 5 & 6

A hectic couple of weeks travelling around the country has let the weekly newsletter slip by, an as I sat driving down to South Wales last Thursday, singing along along to my Golden Oldies album, I suddenly thought to my self, Ah! The newsletter!

A similar thing happened this Thursday and so I thought it better to properly sit down on a less hectic, but still manic, Saturday afternoon, with a cup of coffee and a ginger biscuit and put finger to keyboard.

Plenty has come in and out over the past fortnight, and if you've been keeping an eye on the website you'll have noticed a mixture of 7mm O gauge items come up for sale including some beautiful coaches and some superb GWR wagons. You'll be happy to know there's a huge amount of O gauge yet to come, some truly breathtaking pieces from different collections that I've picked up from all over the country.

If you've been unlucky enough to set foot inside my office before, then one thing you may know about me is that I love collecting everything and anything (to do with railways that is!) althoug, as this is my living I do unfortunately have to sell things! And so coming up for sale on my website this week will be some items from my collection,  including a stunning GWR steam railmotor painted and lined by Larry Goddard.

In the latest news with our ongoing Darstaed projects we're excited to announce a huge release! If you follow Darstaed then you may already know this, but we will be stockists of their new finescale mk1 coaches! These will be manufactured to a very high spec with brass sides, handrails, ABS roofs, end detailing, sprung metal bogies, sprung buffers, corridor connectors, kadee couplings, interior, lighting and will be available in BR Blue/Grey, BR Crimson/Cream, BR Chocolate/Cream, BR Southern Green and BR Maroon.

As there is still a long way to go on these, the release date is unknown but will be some time in 2017 with prices TBC.

This time next week I'll be running around like a headless chicken behind my stall at Warley 2016! If you're coming along to this you'll be happy to know I'm taking a huge range of stock including some fantastic O gauge items and a very large amount of RTR O gauge wagons from the likes of Skytrex, Dapol and a stack of built up Slaters and Parkside wagons.

To run along the website we have also been uploading items to our eBay store, this week it has mostly been OO Hornby and Bachmann, however, if you check back later today you will see a range of O gauge kit built locos, coaches and wagons - certainly worth a look!

That's it for this week - If you would like to keep up to date with the Darstaed Mk1's and other on-going projects then please feel free to send me an email along with the livery/ies that interested you and myself or Paddy will keep you in the loop!

Hope you all enjoy the rest of the weekend and I'll hopefully see some of you at Warley!

All the best, Ellis.
