Introduction
This is by no means our biggest project to date, however, it has been an incredibly popular one!
In April 2021 we announced plans to produce an O Gauge working drophead buckeye coupling, we have been inundated with questions as to when they would be released!
"It's just what the market needs" is what we have heard time and time again, and we couldn't agree more!
Although a minute piece of engineering, it has presented a mammoth task.
In order to:
a. replicate the detail of the real things
b. ensure it will be strong enough
c. confirm it will work with the majority of stock on the market and,
d. Design it to be manufacturable
has presented us with quite the challenge...
Fortunately, after a long testing period and working closely with the Gauge O Guild, and other individuals who have tested the couplings on various types of layouts, we're now happy to announce they have gone to tooling and you can now pre-order these couplings through our website.
