Finescale O Gauge (Kit-Built) GWR Railcar No.25

Constructed between 1934 and 1942, 38 of these attractive railcars were constructed for the GWR. Built in 1940, No. 25 was one of the later batch designed to haul a tail load of up to 60 tons. The model has been constructed to a high standard from brass by Lawrence Scale Models.

Condition Description

The model is in mostly excellent condition, with no significant marks or signs of wear. One of the sprung buffers is stiff in its housing, and the glazing unit is slightly loose on one side.

Track Test

Very Good Runner

Test Results

Tested on Peco track including Six feet radius curves. The model runs well at all speeds but has a very noisy motor. May benefit from re-motoring.
