Part of William Stanier 'go anywhere do anything' Black 5 class, No. 5434 was constructed in 1937 as part of the Armstrong Whitworth batch of locomotives. Firstly based at Monument Lane Shed, the locomotive was lastly based at Crewe South, being withdrawn and later scrapped in 1966, having a service life of 28 years.
This excellent 'Tower Collection' depiction of the locomotive features a professional paint finish and build and features the excellent Slater's Helical Gear Box. Model also includes Tower Models painted period crew.
