A rarity in model form, this excellent brass ex-Barry Railway Hudswell Clarke has been constructed and finished to a high standard with an excellent weathered finish and repaint in-house into a freelance industrial locomotive named 'Cwm Taff'.
Introduced between 1889 and 1891, five locomotives were constructed by Hudswell Clarke under the design of J. H. Hosgood. Due to their light axle loading the class were particularly suited to shunting duties on the Barry Island Breakwater. All locomotives passed into GWR ownership with two making it into BR. All locomotives were withdrawn by 1949 and later scrapped.
