Golden Age Models Finescale O Gauge A2/3 No.60529 'Pearl Diver', DCC Sound, Smoke & Pro Weathered

1 item left

The Peppercorn A2 was a class of 15 locomotives built for express passenger work between 1947-1948. The locomotives provided an ideal replacement to the Gresley P2s which had at this point all been rebuilt by Thompson, creating a lack in motive power for the Edinburgh - Aberdeen route. Due to this power they were amongst the last multi-cylinder express locomotives still in use on BRs network. By 1966 all had been withdrawn from service with one locomotive 'Blue Peter' being preserved for preservation, which is now mainline operational.

This Golden Age Models depiction is fitted with DCC Sound and a smoke unit, working lights including firebox glow, it is a fine representation of steam super power from the 1950's.
