Designed by Charles Collett, the GWR 61xx class of 2-6-2T engines were a development of the earlier 5101 class and worked predominantly on Thames Valley commuter trains from London Paddington. No. 6132 entered service in 1932 and was based at Oxford when withdrawn by BR in 1965. This example of Heljan's excellent model is in mint condition and displays excellent running qualities.
