Pre-Owned Finescale O Gauge
OO Gauge Projects
Constructed to an excellent standard from a brass kit, and professionally weathered in-house by Neil Armitage.
Charles Fairburn designed No. 42141 and her 40 other classmates for the LMS, mainly for suburban passenger trains.
Seven of these locomotives were transferred to the North Eastern Region between Spring 1952 and 1954. The other 34 locos were exchanged for a newer 2-6-4 Standard Class 4MT.
This locomotive finished her working life at 56F Low Moor so was a fairly local engine around Bradford & Leeds. She featured a red smokebox numberplate and somehow managed to retain her BR early crests nearly to the end of her life.
