Constructed to an excellent standard from a David Andrews brass kit, this model offers an intriguing prospect for users of coarse-scale 3-rail systems. For although the engine has been built to finescale standards, it has been fitted with a third rail pick-up 'skate' and, in fact, runs only on such systems. The real no. 5525 lived in Devon for most of its working life and served the region until 1962.

Condition Description |
The model is in excellent condition overall, with a few minor paint chips to the edge of the cab roof and some minor marks to the running plate. Please not that because of the way the 3rd rail pickup skate has been fitted (with non-insulated wheelsets), the engine will run only on 3-rail systems. |
