Constructed to an excellent standard from an MMP brass/ etched kit. The real Tornado was built in 1951 at Crewe Works. 70022 was one of the 12 BR Standard types and was predominantly based in Cardiff Canton for much of its life. She was withdrawn from service in December 1967 and waited for 4 months before being scrapped in April 1968.
