The British Railways built Class 08 shunters were arguably BR's most successful design; over 1000 were produced, and they reached all parts of the country. Many exist today, with some backdated to 'heritage' liveries. This BR blue example depicts D3045, an engine that spent its relatively short working life on the Southern Region; it was withdrawn from Eastleigh in 1972 while wearing this number and livery.

The model is in overall excellent condition but is missing two small (lower) grilles on the left side immediately in front of the cab. One cab window (right side) is loose in the cab and requires refitting. |
