Kit-built Finescale O Gauge LSWR Drummond F9 Class 'The Bug' No. 733

Notify me when this product is available:

Built in 1899, this unique one off, 'The Bug' was built to haul inspection and private trains for its designer, Dugald Drummond, being designed to run across the whole LSWR network, including Southampton Docks. The locomotive lasted in service/storage until 1940 when it was finally dismantled with the rear bogie being kept to transport heavy loads across Eastleigh Locomotive Works. The carriage body still survives to this day, being used as a garden shed in Swanage.

This Shedmasters depiction captures the charm and quirky look of the prototype wonderfully.
