The ubiquitous and workmanlike 08 shunters were arguably BR's most successful design; over 1000 were produced, and they reached all parts of the country. Many exist today, with some backdated to 'heritage' liveries. Dapol's no. 08202 (item no. 7D-008-006) is superbly finished in BR blue, and this example has been fitted with DCC sound using a Digitrains sound file on a Zimo decoder.
