Finescale O Gauge (Kit-Built) GWR 4700 Class 'Night Owl' No.4704, BR Green Late Crest Weathered

1 item left

The GWR's 'Night Owls' were a class of just nine engines introduced from 1919. Designed to haul heavy freight trains at high speed, they also 'day-lighted' on passenger services during the summer months. No. 4704 entered service in 1922 and travelled widely round the GWR network.

This beautiful model of a prototype rarely seen in 7mm scale has been built to a high standard from a Martin Finney brass kit. Featuring working inside valve gear and ABC Gearbox the model is an excellent runner.  With a medium to heavy weathered finish courtesy of Neil Armitage this really is an exceptional model for the Great Western purist.
