Here we have an excellent example of Heljan's Class 05 Hunslet-designed diesel shunter. Introduced from 1955 and ranging widely over BR's Eastern and Scottish regions these were not the most successful shunters on the network and had relatively short lives. Heljan's model is an excellent runner and perfect for shunting operations. This particular example wears the early BR green before the later wasp stripes were applied.
