Designed by John Aspinall and built between 1899-1902, this class of locomotive numbered 40 locomotives. Quickly becoming known as 'High-Flyers' due to their boilers being pitched high in the frames, making them at the time the largest locomotives in Britain. One locomotive L&Y No. 1392 was said to have reached speeds of over 100mph. Passing into LMS overnship they were classified 2P. Sadly all were withdrawn and scraped by 1934. 

This model depicts No. 10320 in LMS black and is in wonderful condition and is thought to be scratch built.
