Product Information

Designed by Charles Collett and introduced from 1923, the GWR Castle class was similar to the earlier Star Class but with a larger boiler and extended frames. No. 7026 was part of an early BR batch constructed in 1949; allocated new to Stafford Road, the locomotive lasted 15 years in service and was later cut up for scrap from Tyseley Shed in 1964. 

Constructed from a brass kit of unknown origin and finished in BR Lined Green, this model features a weathered finish.

Model in very good overall condition with a few chips and blemishes across its paint/bodywork. Model has various areas not built completely flush and has various knocks/bends to its brass parts (particularly the running plate and tender bodysides). Model also has a lean upwards towards the front of the loco
