Showroom
Our Skipton showroom is open weekdays 9am until 5pm and by appointment on weekends.
Named after one of the Great Central Railways esteemed Directors in the years after its manufacture at Gorton Works, 'Sir Berkeley Sheffield' had a service life of some 40 years before withdrawal in the early 1950's. Our model here features the loco in LNER guise when it would have been a feature on expresses out of London Marylebone. The model is possibly from a Gladiator kit but the builder and painter are unknown. It is an excellent runner and has particularly fine hand-lining on much of the model.
