Pre-Owned Finescale O Gauge
OO Gauge Projects
To service in 1930 GWR 0-6-0 No.2268 was one of 120 locomotives to a design by Charles Collett, albeit much of the chassis design dates back to the earlier Dean Goods 0-6-0. The class were quite widespread across the GWR network and our model here started life in the West Country before a final flourish in Central Wales.
Built to a good standard from a Martin Finney kit the model has been well made and features detailed working inside valve gear, working hornblocks on all axles, with excellent running qualities courtesy of a multi-stage gearbox. It has been moderately weathered and with early BR crest captures the loco in the early British Railways' period. The model has however suffered a knock in transit which has lead to some cosmetic issues, these are detailed below.

Condition Description |
The model is overall well made but a minor (less than 0.5mm) gap is visible between the boiler and firebox. The loco to tender buffers are missing and the buffing plate along with other parts on the loco and tender have minor paint chips. The high lamp bracket on the rear of the tender is missing. The weathering is moderately applied but to a good standard. |
