Showroom
Our Skipton showroom is open weekdays 9am until 5pm and by appointment on weekends.
Built between 1909 and 1910, 37 'Birdcage' sets were constructed for the SE&CR. The coaches' nickname arose from the guards lookout and the end of each brake compartment.
This model of a Composite (First/Third) coach features brass sides and an interior complete with passengers.
Please note that items sold via The Workshop are not covered by our usual warranty and are intended as project pieces requiring maintenance and/or rectification.

Condition Description |
In very good overall condition. The model does not sit level on its bogies, and there are numerous chips to the paint finish. The coach interior also needs adjusting to align with the windows. The white metal bogies are slightly misshapen. |

Test Results |
The model does not currently run freely and would benefit from adjustment to the wheels/bogies. |
