Designed by Gresley as a shortened down A3, the V2s were quickly put to work on fast freight duties and other mixed traffic turns. Built at Doncaster and Darlington, this particular locomotive No. 60890 was built in 1939 and was withdrawn from service in 1962, sadly later being cut up for scrap.
Built by Sancheng / Tower Models this model is presented in BR late lined green.

Tested on Peco track including Six feet radius curves. The loco runs smoothly at all speeds, with a very occasional stutter at low speed. |
