New to Laira depot in 1960 D827 'Kelly' spent its short working life of just 12 years shuttling between allocations at Laira and Newton Abbot. The removal of non-standard traction, i.e. Hydraulic power transmissions, saw it and the rest of the fleet removed from the network in very short order. In near mint condition and with Heljan's usual running qualities, plus DCC Sound, this is however a great reminder of diesel super power once common in the South West.
