Golden Age Models Finescale O Gauge 'West Riding Limited' 8-Car Articulated Set

1 item left

In the wake of its successful 'Silver Jubilee' and 'Coronation' expresses, the LNER treated West Yorkshire's discerning business travellers to similar fare when it launched the 'West Riding Limited' in 1937.  With a journey time of just over four hours, the southbound train left Bradford (Exchange) at 7.30am and returned north from the capital in the late afternoon.

This beautiful set of Golden Age Models coaches depicts the full eight-coach rake of the 'West Riding' and consists of four pairs of articulated vehicles finished in British Railways crimson and cream. The coaches feature superlative brass construction, fully finished lit interiors and glazing fashioned from genuine glass. They have been lightly weathered to a professional standard and display superb running qualities.

Condition Description

In excellent condition overall, with a lightly weathered finish. Some of the cars have been fitted with passengers. One coach has two glazing panels pushed in, and these are loose inside the vehicle. There is some slight delamination to the white window blanking on the interior of one vehicle, and another displays a small adhesive mark at cantrail level where a nameboard has previously been fitted. Some glazing panes have minor marks, and two of the coaches have the same running number. Two of the coaches are missing small sections of the cosmetic steel trim. Please note the W1 loco is not included but available separately.
