BR's initial batch of 'Thumper' Diesel Electric Multiple Units entered service in 1957 and were soon strengthened to three cars to cope with increasing passenger numbers on the Hampshire routes they initially plied. No. 1115 (as depicted here) survived into Network SouthEast's reign, by which time it was working services from London to Uckfield as well as between Ashfield and Hastings.

Full of character, these units are often requested but almost never seen in 7mm scale. This example has been superbly built from a Peter Clark Models brass kit. It comprises DTS, TS and DMBS vehicles, all of which have been decorated and lightly weathered to a professional standard.

Condition Description	In excellent condition overall. The carriages feature full interiors, but a few of the seat fittings are loose inside, for which the interior will need to be accessed to rectify. The cars are coupled by means of Kadee-style knuckle couplers; one of these is broken, with one of the others significantly worn. There are some minor marks and chips to the bodysides and underframe detail, with some light wear to the glazing. The roofs and chassis have been lightly weathered.
Track Test	Excellent/Smooth Runner (at low, medium & high speeds)
Test Results	The model runs well at all speeds but displays a noticeable squeaking from the driven bogie when travelling in reverse.
