The 2-8-0 wheel arrangement of Gresley's O2 freight locomotives gave them an elegant stance that contrasted with the otherwise spartan design. No. 63942 entered service with the LNER in 1924 and spent the next 40 years pounding the southern half of the Eastern Region's metals.

This model, superbly constructed from an Ace Products brass kit, has been enhanced through the addition of DCC sound and a masterful weathered finish courtesy of Neil Armitage.
