Robert Riddles' 9F needs little introduction - one of the most famous locomotives built by British Railways, and the final class of BR mainline steam locomotive, much regarded as British steam's last 'Swan Song'. This example No. 92140, spent a mere 7 years in service being allocated at New England from new in 1957. Lasting in service until 1965, the locomotive was withdrawn and later scrapped from Langwith Junction.
This superb model from 55H features all-brass construction, impressive fine details and excellent performance. The model here features the rarer BR1CH tender and has been professionally weathered by TMC.
