Dapol Finescale O Gauge Class 58xx No. 5816 British Railways Lined Black

The Collet-designed Class 58xx were primarily built for branch-line use. Essentially identical to the 14xx class, they lacked the necessary equipment for working Autotrains. The engine depicted here (Dapol item no.7S-006-053) dates from 1933 and survived until 1957. It is superbly finished in early British Railways lined black and like all models of this type displays excellent slow-running capabilities.
