Achieving long-lasting fame in model form as Hornby Dublo's diecast 00 model, No.46232 'Duchess of Montrose' was one of 38 similar Pacifics designed by William Stanier for heavy duty express work on the West Coast Main Line. Rugged and effective, the class were among some of the most powerful locomotives to work on British metals and our model here, possibly constructed from a Gladiator kit, fully captures their sheer bulk and presence. The model has been regularly used but the overall finish is excellent and the BR Blue finish expertly applied.

Condition Description |
In overall excellent condition but some minor cosmetic issues from use. Cabside glazing missing on drivers side and cab-side wind deflectors missing on both sides. Paintwork overall excellent but some very minor paint chips. Builders plate missing from drivers side. American style pick-up system (via tender one-side). |
