A GWR branchline classic, this particular 48XX was built in 1933 under the design of Charles Collett. Shedded at both Swindon and Exeter, the locomotive received its 14XX number in 1946. Withdrawn and later scrapped in 1959, she enjoyed a service life of 25 years.
