The US Army Transportation Corps S100 Tanks were an iconic locomotive first imported to the UK in 1943, seeing service with the War Department from 1944. Latterly more associated with shunting duties in Southampton Docks they acquired the nickname 'Dock Tanks' and served the Southern and British Railways almost to the end of steam. Our model here, superbly constructed from an Oakville Models kit, features etched brass and nickel construction with numerous white-metal castings.
