This beautiful 'King' has been professionally constructed and finished from a Malcom Mitchell kit and features excellent detail and decoration standards.
This example, class pioneer No. 6000, was constructed in 1927 and spent the next 35 years storming the Western Region's principal routes on top-link expresses. Firstly allocated to Laira, the locomotive also spent time at Bristol Bath Road until withdrawal in 1962 from Old Oak Common Shed, after clocking up some 1,910,424 miles in service. Now preserved the locomotive can be found at Steam Museum in Swindon.
