A fine example of an LNER N8 0-6-2T, constructed to a high standard from what is believed to be a Connoisseur Models (N10) kit. Originally built for the North Eastern Railway, 62 N8 locomotives were built between 1886 and 1890 and used across North East England. This model represents a loco from the interwar period of the 1920s and 1930s and features a realistic matt finish

The model runs well at higher speeds but is hesitant at low speed and from a standing start. It may benefit from further wheel cleaning and running in. |
