Finescale O Gauge (Kit-Built) Un-rebuilt Bulleid West Country Class 'Blackmore Vale' No. 34023, BR Green, Weathered

Notify me when this product is available:

Built from a Martin Finney kit, this West Country class is in excellent condition and has been further enhanced with in-house weathering to an professional standard. The model has also been fitted with cast JPL wheels and a flywheel.

The West Country Class were built as lightweight versions of the Southern Railway's Merchant Navy class, featuring smaller boilers, fireboxes, wheel bases and cylinders. Built between 1945-1951, the class featured many of Bulleid's wartime cost-saving features. 'Blackmore Vale' was built in 1946 and was withdrawn from service in 1967, still in un-rebuilt form. The locomotive can now be found at the Bluebell Railway undergoing overhaul.
