Golden Age Models Finescale O Gauge LNER Class A4 No.4496 'Golden Shuttle' DCC Sound & Smoke (Weathered)

Inaugurating a new era in travel between the West Riding of Yorkshire and London, the LNER introduced their new streamlined express service, the 'West Riding Limited', from the winter timetable of 1937. Completing the non-stop journey between Leeds and London in just 2 hrs 45 minutes, this was a significant milestone in Gresley's quest to accelerate East Coast express services. Two new Pacific locomotives, 'Golden Shuttle' and 'Golden Fleece' – a nod to the West Riding woollen industry – headed up the new stock. 

Modelled here is the second of the West Riding pair to enter service, 'Golden Shuttle'. From the renowned Golden Age Models stable and featuring all-metal construction together with firebox glow, DCC sound and synchronised smoke, this is a superb representation of the prototype, further enhanced by a light weathered finish.
